The installation process of DVB Dream is smooth and quite speedy. You might find the pre-configuration process a little difficult, due to the fact that it requires some DVB knowledge. The most important aspect is to properly configure the Digital Satellite Equipment Control settings and the adjacents satellite preferences.
If you get past the steps where you have to configure your device in order to work with DVB Dream, you will finally end up with a clean and professional interface that comprises all the tools you need to start using your DVB device properly.
Everything is well organized in menus, so scanning for channels, saving or opening them is just a matter of time once you get there. The application’s engine relies on a very fast channel list system, so speed is not an issue in this case.
Amongst the most important features we count the timeshift capability, Multi Pip windows, LAN Streaming and multi-channel recording in MPG or TS format. You can also perform Pid Statistics and analyze streams from any channel.
The Preferences menu allows you to adjust settings for the channel list, scanning process, performance, recording sessions and themes.
All in all, DVB Dream did a terrific job during our tests. Although configuring it took a while, the application is worth all efforts, since it manages to make the most of the DVB experience.

-* If you use Windows 8 or if you have no video or video problems on Windows 7/XP, then please make sure you install codecs since Windows 8 doesn't include required codecs. After installing new codecs, you should restart DVB Dream and select them (Main Menu->Options->Video or simply press CTRL+G). Some of the codecs will work better than others, depending on your system configuration.
